Parenting

If you had asked me 15 years ago, even 10 years ago, if I would ever be the mother of 4 children, I would have thought you were crazy for even asking. I imagined I would have 1 or maybe 2 children.

I love my slightly larger brood of “youngins” as the locals of coastal NC refer to kids. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I might would even consider a larger family if not for having horrible, debilitating morning sickness with each pregnancy.

I have experienced long labors and very rapid labors. I have had kids several years apart and close together (having a toddler and a baby at the same time earns you sainthood). My kids are all different, from sweet and easy-going to full of energy and full of sass!

I’m still learning so much and will use this page to share in our parenting lessons, struggles, and joys.

How do you want your kids to look back at their childhoods? What would you say to your adult children explaining how their childhoods unfolded and the lessons you learned as a parent. Check out this post, For My Kids When They Are Older.
